Some Problems encountered and solutions Marketing problems:

Problem: How do you make a website more interesting?

Solution: The site was made more interactive by using hyperlinks and video. Animation was also created using the Xara 3D programme and by using sources such as the .net magazine website.

Problem: What colours should be used on the site?

Solution: A balance had to be struck between making the site readable yet attractive. This made me opt for a very light shade of blue. Blue also being my favourite colour.

Technical problems:

Problem: Frontpage Express does not recognise all video formats.

Solution: The "create video" function onUlead Media Studio Pro V5.2 was used to convert video clip to the .avi standard that Frontpage Express could recognise.

Problem: Frontpage Express does not have a preview function.

Solution: The 1st page 2000 software was installed and the preview function on this was used.

Problem: Many magazines supply the script for certain animations eg. the teletyping animation under the video on my home page. How do you use these scripts within you own page?

Solution: The initial problem I had was assuming that the javascript supplied for the teletyping window should be inserted as javascript by using the "insert" function on Frontpage Express. However, after experimenting it was found that the script should have been inserted using the "HTML markup..." function.
